Restoration Work at Glenburn

Contacts are about to be let to start restoration work at Glenburn, thanks to Col's persistence. With the funding available through this project two buildings will be stabilised. There is less scope for more elaborate restoration.

Works include
Slab Hut: matching materials where possible and replacing corner posts and slowly straightening
Pise Hut: based on their expertise at Tidbinbilla: progressively ‘straighten’ to best possible capacity the existing ‘bowed’ exterior walls, some corner stabilisation, and reinforcement of external corners and walls through pinning and grouting.

The Rangers will keep Col up to date as works progress; hopefully initial onsite work will start in the next month or so.

It has been suggested that NPA sponsor a "Friends of Glenburn" group - interested people should contact NPA.
