Winter 2025 NPA snowshoeing trips

The NPA’s snowshoeing trips from Canberra to the mountains started in 2001 and have since proved very popular. This year NPA conducted three snowshoeing trips taking advantage of great snow conditions after poor seasons in the past two years.

 Mindjagari Track – destined to become a Canberra iconic walk

The Mindjagari Track in Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve promises to become one of the ACT’s most famous walking tracks. The 23 km track, which has been referred to as the Tidbinbilla Rim or Skyline track, offers unimpeded views and a feeling of being up there in the clouds. 

 Fish ‘bungalows’ helping threatened fish recover from Namadgi fires

 The threatened Two-spined Blackfish is showing promising signs of recovery after its habitat was destroyed in the Cotter River Catchment in the 2020 Black Summer fires.
