Lake Burley Griffin 60th anniversary paddle (1) - 20 Oct 24
Western part of LBG: West Lake, Tarcoola and Yarramundi reaches, Scrivener Dam with morning tea stop (BYO). Return distance 10-12 km. BYO canoe/kayak and safety equipment. Personal flotation device or buoyancy vest essential. Meet at Yarralumla Beach (near swimming enclosure) at 8:30 am to be on water at 9 am. We will look at some aspects of the design, planning and management of LBG, and changes since 1964. Share your own LBG stories. Register online by Thursday 18 October.
