Lake Burley Griffin 60th anniversary paddle (2) - 23 Oct 24
Eastern part of LBG: West Lake, West, Central and East basins. Morning tea stop, probably Grevillea Park, East Basin (BYO). Note walls and hard edges limit landing places. Return distance 10-12 km. BYO canoe/kayak and safety equipment. Personal flotation device or buoyancy vest essential. Meet at Lotus Bay (adjacent to the yacht club) at 8:30 am to be on water at 9 am. We will look at some aspects of the design, planning and management of LBG, and changes since 1964. Share your own LBG stories. Register online by Sunday 20 October.
