NPA ACT Movie Group

The NPA ACT Movie Group is for people interested in watching movies, including documentaries, related to the natural environment. We watch environmentally themed movies together at a local cinema and, optionally, continue the conversation afterwards over coffee or food. Everyone is welcome to any session.

The focus is on enjoying the movie as a group, learning about the environment and new perspectives through film, and sharing reflections in a relaxed, casual discussion. This may include reflecting on how our understanding or actions might change as a result of what we’ve watched, and how it could apply to the environment in the ACT and surrounding region.

About the movie
Canberra born-and-bred director Jennifer Peedom (Sherpa, Mountain) is back with her latest documentary, this time exploring the limits of human endurance with Dr. Richard 'Harry' Harris on his quest to explore a new, previously unreachable section of New Zealand’s Pearse Resurgence cave system.
