Saturday work party/walk - Snow Gum survey - 29 Aug 26

Snow Gums have had some problems in recent years such as beetle attacks, stress from fires and dieback. The plan is to conduct a small ACT survey of Snow Gums to get an idea of their health. This will be part of multiple surveys being coordinated by Friends of the Earth in August in NSW and Victoria. More information at https://www.melbournefoe.org.au/snowgums. The survey will involve walking through the bush in a grid pattern search for perhaps 4 hours with a break for lunch. The location will probably be Mt Franklin Road but this depends on some preliminary searching and advice from local experts. Limit of 8. Register directly with the leader.
