Woodlands Walk - Namadgi Spring Walks Series - 21 Sep 25
The Namadgi Spring Walks Series is about connecting with Namadgi, nature, and each other. Our motto: the journey is as valuable as the destination. This Spring we’ll explore areas where native wildflowers are in bloom.
Our first walk is a gentle introduction from the Visitor Centre — ideal for beginners, families, and anyone wanting to take their walks in Namadgi slowly to enjoy nature, learn, and meet others. We’ll admire and photograph the spring wildflowers — our natural floriade — and use field guides (bring yours along) to spot plants and animals together.
The Woodland Walk is a 1 km loop through the critically endangered Yellow Box–Blakely’s Red Gum Grassy Woodland. Along the way, we’ll stop to read interpretive signs highlighting Namadgi’s natural and cultural heritage.
We’ll finish by sitting together to enjoy a snack or coffee. The Visitor Centre has snacks and a coffee machine (card only) if you’d like to purchase something on site.
Track: Woodlands Walk, 1km, 45 minutes then finishing with BYO refreshments or purchase from Namadgi VC.
Meet: Meet at the Namadgi VC, Sunday 21 September, 9:00am
Leader: Kelly Allison
