While Naas Valley was closed to the goanna team in 2022 – 23, the team managed to collect limited GPS data from three goannas at Ainslie-Majura under difficult conditions. The team has been encouraged to return to Ainslie-Majura by Parks and Conservation and Office of Nature Conservation, which combined its efforts to purchase several new GPS packs to continue the work.
