NPA ACT has received a significant funding boost in the 2026 - 27 ACT Government budget presented on 6 June.

The government has allocated $30,000 a year for 3 years from 2026-27 to support our ongoing work. The funding is in recognition of our contribution to nature conservation, community engagement and advocacy for the Territory’s national parks and protected areas.

It will provide welcome administrative support for our many volunteers and programs, including our work parties, walks and outings, publications, citizen science projects, a student scholarship, and community awareness programs.

NPA president Rosemary Hollow thanked Ministers Suzanne Orr and Tara Cheyne for their strong support and encouragement for our work.
