A field trip to a wetland in Namadgi National Park

Do you know where you’d find bogs and fens in the ACT?

Nearly 60 per cent of people who responded to our recent online quiz about bogs and fens mistakenly think they’re found in the Jerrabomberra Wetlands or Canberra’s suburbs.

Most are found in the high country of Namadgi National Park.

But there’s so much more to know about these ecologically important wetlands and the threats they face.

Join us online at 6:30pm, Tuesday, 22 July, for a webinar where a panel of experts will talk about why these wetlands are so important and why we must protect them.

The NPA is leading a 4-year education and community program as part of a broader initiative – ‘Managing threats to high country wetlands’ – funded by the Australian Government Natural Heritage Trust to manage threats to High Country wetlands in the ACT.
