Invitation to join in riverbank tree planting

ACT Parks and Conservation Service is inviting volunteers to plant native trees on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River at the Kambah Pools Recreation Area on Saturday, 6 April commencing at 9am.

The mixture of River Red Gum, Mana Gum and She-oak will be planted close to the river’s edge, and further up the bank to provide stability to the riverbank.

Environment Minister Rebecca Vassarotti has been invited to attend and plant the first tree.

NPA ACT has regular work parties often held under the supervision of ACT park rangers or sometimes in conjunction with other conservation and Parkcare groups.

See the Events Calendar for further information.
